Dr. Med. Klaus-Peter Mellwig

Senior Specialist at Heart & Diabetes Center NRW

Specializing in:  Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Intensive Care Medicine and Sports Medicine
Additional qualification: Interventional Cardiology

Dr. Med. Mellwig holds an additional qualification in interventional cardiology. He heads both the HELP day clinic and the lipid outpatient clinic as well as sports cardiology at the Hear and Diabetes Center NRW. The Heart and Diabetes Center NRW is an international leading institution and thereby enables an optimal sports medical examination of our athletes.
The results will be sent to our coaching team after consultation with our players. The training and nutrition plans are then matched directly.

Dr. Med. Dieter Rummel

internal medicine and Sports medicine

Dr. MED. Rummel studied medicine at the J.W. Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. In 1993, he completed his doctorate in the Department of Cardiology at the same university. Nine years later, Dr.MED. Rummel specializes in internal medicine in the hospital of Hanau.

Dr Rummel runs his own practice in Frankfurt am Main and is also a doctor for nutritional, diving, travel and traffic medicine.

We have a physiotherapist available on site at Hessian Tennis Association. Until recently, KrassVit was the working company on site, however now HTV is looking for an adequate substitute to further guarantee our players as well as HTV players a physio available. Insoles Manufacturer

The company from Giessen is our specialist for active insole supplier of our players at TU. With the help of a scanning process, individual insoles are produced that prevent misalignment of the feet. Thus, pain and training failures are often proactively prevented. The form of the insole adapted to the feet of the athletes leads to two further advantages. First, it provides excellent comfort and secondly, the coordination of the foot and lower leg muscles is trained. Foot Power can be found in Dortmund, Gießen and Mainz.Learn more here .

Michael von Kunhardt

Mental coach

Michael von Kunhardt is a former professional hockey player who has won several championships during his ongoing athletic career, including three marathons within a year after the diagnosis of never being able to run a marathon, and a bronze medal at the 2018 U-50 national teams event. Michael is a valuable part of the team at Tennis University to focus on the winning mentality of a tennis player. Michael works with our athletes on the topics strategy development, focusing, immediate relaxation methods and motivation. Away with fear and forth with positive thinking and creativity. Mastering the above mentioned areas helped him to study sport science and sociology, to develop the DOSB-licensed trainers of the DOSB or to become a sports mental and health trainer. He has also trained as a banker and owns a degree in business administration from J.W. Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. Michael von Kunhardt was in charge of the German Junior Indoor Hockey Team (U21), to where they finished runner up at the European championships in Belgium in 2014. Michael has been working together with athletes from various fields for many years, and is a lecturer at the Fachschule für Wirtschaft Weilburg and is one of the 100 best speakers in the DACH region. Petra Winzenhöller is a former professional tennis player, who knows how important a balanced diet is so athletes can optimally perform at their highest level. Over the years she has acquired a broad and deep knowledge of sports nutrition.

Their mission is to create the most individual, holistic nutritional concept for athletes, but also to implement it with them, in order to assist the athletes in achieving the ambitious goals. It does not matter if their clients are conventional, vegetarian or vegan. The basis for Petras work is the Applied Kinesiology Diagnostics, which will be identified by testing food intolerances.
